The 4th of July!!

The 4th of July was wonderful this year! We started out at church for a fantastic testimony meeting, followed by a nap and a drive up to WI to spend the day with the "cheese heads"... and Steve and his family! We started at a true small town parade-complete with the outhouses and all! We soon realized it was real hot and humid, but don't worry, Cec and I wore jeans to avoid the bugs...not our best idea!
Then we went to the turtle races, which was a super good idea and I ensure I will implement in the future for my own celebrations! Ethan cried every time the crowd cheered though-big surprise there.

Then we went home and ate more than I have since I did time in Argentina, and while our bellies were full and puckering we went to the school yard and played! Dad got a bunch of really cool parachutes we shot off and chased. It was fun.
Cecil lit some off.
My hot husband! Hubba Hubba!
Once we got back to MN and put Ethan to bed my amazing mother offered to stay home while we went with Dad to see some fire works. It was great and we got to go down next to the lake to watch them. What a great way to remember why we enjoy the freedoms we do here in this great country! How lucky are we?!!

Here's the boys chasing parachutes.
