Minnesota & Beyond

We drove out to Minnesota this summer and we were lucky and car pooled with Mom and Dad, (which made it much more fun). We stopped through Grand Junction to visit Aunt Norma and Uncle Dave and had dinner and a nice visit because my cousins, who I haven't seen in years, were there, so that was fun. Can you spot the baby in this picture?
And we took Ethan out to a sit down restaurant. Daddy fed him-see, I'm not the only one who does that with my mouth when I feed him!
He loved sucking water from the straw.
One morning we dropped Ethan off outside Mom and Dad's room like this, knocked and ran!
And we finally made it and one of the first things we did was try out the swing Grandpa set up for Ethan! He loves his swing!

Family Fun

We all got together before and after Leah's baptism to spend time together and laugh and whatever. It was really fun to all be together! Thanks Leah since you were the reason for togetherness! Love you!!
Here's Ethan playing with Uncle Dave...he loves Uncle Dave
He loves being upside down!
And I thought Leah was the only pregnant one...
And then there's good 'ol Uncle Bill...need I say more!
And Ethan is obsessed with Grandpa's pocket!
And the reach...
Grandpa can always make Ethan laugh!

The Evolution of Teeth

Oh no! He is teething...

First came the bottom two...sorry you can't see real well here but it was the best I could do. I didn't even think that he was teething because he was so little still and none of his cousins had teeth yet, but I was sitting in church on Sunday after a rough night and Ethan was chewing on my finger and he bit me hard and I realized there were two teeth there! I swear they weren't there the day before, but they came in over night! Ouch is all I have to say about that!

Then just one top one...we called him Fang for a while and I have to say his smile was total hick! But it was still cute of course.

Then all of a sudden the other fang came in just as fast as the first and his front teeth started blossoming too!
And now... a beautiful smile at 7 months

Weeeeee!!!!

It was finally nice outside so we went out and let Ethan got to test out the swing just outside our apartment! He loved it with a capital "L"
Cute!
Awww...picture opportunity.
This is actually a different day we went to Ethan's first baseball game! He loved that sport compared to basketball events, at which he just cried the whole time.

My little Hippie Child

Be careful what you dress your kids in or it may stick! I just threw some shorts since it was so sunny outside, but covered his head and feet with the first thing that I could find. After I showed Cec these pictures he just laughed because he said that's something I would wear!
Well the snow finally melted for a day and it wasn't so windy that it would blow Buddy away today so we went outside this morning so Daddy could sleep a little longer in peace. It was Ethan's first time really sitting in the grass. He liked it a lot...he even picked a little dandelion and inspected it thoroughly...sampling the flavor...
Mmmmm...taste not currently approved; try again later!

The Chunk

Well the day has come to go through Ethan's clothes and pack away the ones that are bursting at the seams. I realized this after every night of this week I put on pajamas that all had apparent rips where the little guy was putting pressure. The first pair was merely his big toe peaking out, which when I tickled, Ethan thought was the funniest thing in the world. The next night however I noticed that both big toes now had holes in them so the third night i decided to go with the more modern sockless pajama and this is what I found...the buttons all perking to hold in my big boy! Don't worry we had a nice stretch session and I think this pair of pjs will last a while...or at least until the next time I wash them.
