Welcome Spartacus...I mean Jacob James or as Ethan says, JJ! 8lbs. 1oz. 20 inches Well the little guy finally made it...with some resistance...it's only suiting that his nick name in the womb was Spartacus! Cecil was a little nervous I would want him to keep the name permanently but I gave it up...somewhat unwillingly.
Proud papa...he loves his boys! My parents took Ethan for a couple days and Cecil had a hard time without his big guy.
Everything went really well. I got over half way there without any really difficult labor pains but they broke my water, pains were intense but he was born in less than an hour later. He had the cord wrapped around his neck so my CNM had to hurry and cut the cord and pull him out quick. He started breathing right away though and even though it took him a bit to get to the right color he's big and strong now! Still a bit blue in this pic though.
First peek at Ethan's little brother.
Ethan got excited but after a little kiss he was pretty done with the little guy and more interested in graham crackers and the buttons on my bed.

Yes, Ethan was happy with my ice chips. When he came in to see us he waved at all the nurses at the front desk and said, "Hi! Where's baby?" They all thought he was the cutest thing!
My sister came up for Thanksgiving and she took some time to come visit me and new baby! It was a short visit but much appreciated and fun to be with family and my big sis! Thanks sis!
Am I seeing double?
If you look at my posts from when Ethan was born in September '09 you will see some stunning similarities. The only difference I really see is where their hair grows.
Ethan always had a mullet...from the ultrasound in the womb to even now the hair in the back of his head grow faster than the rest. Little Jake came out with a dark alfalfa and a receding hair line like a little old man!
And of course the Seright stink eye...love you too pirate boy!
